The world of vintage Rolex moves quickly, individual watches fall in an out of fashion. It is vital to have accurate and up to date valuations of your watch for insurance purposes. My valuation reports with detailed photographs are vital tools to work with your insurer in keeping your policy current and securing a trouble free claim for loss.

Locating rare Rolex watches for collectors
Many of the best Rolex pieces never come to the open market and are shared with a few select contacts. I would be happy to help you find that impossible piece for a small commission.

I advise collectors on the latest collecting trends, auction results and provide market insights on the best time to sell.

My fees

Hourly rate for inspection / consultation / research / authentication / buying trips - £100

Typical single watch inspection with report/valuation - £300

Valuations of larger collections - £negotiable

Travel expenses - 0.45 pence per mile.

Commission sales - Rare watches located and purchased from a search request carry a 3 % commission of the watches final sale price.

Rolex acquisition
Helping a well-known collector acquire a rare 1950s Rolex Submariner after checking its authenticity and pedigree.

Rolex watch substitution
An Italian collector believed that his watch had been substituted after being taken to a jeweler for a service. I prepared a detailed report on the watch that was returned from the jewelers identifying the differences and proving the substitution.

Rolex Submariner, model 5517, British Military issue
One of Rolex’s smallest production runs was for these watches commissioned by the MOD. The unique bezel, dial, hour, minute and second hands, along with welded strap bars mark these out as truly rare finds.
